Bungee jumping from a crane is one thing, but bungee jumping from a bridge takes the experience to a whole new level. We offer superb bungee jumps from the famous Middlesborough transporter bridge, giving you even more reason to ask your sponsors to go that extra mile with their donations.
Before the Bungee Jump
Having arrived at the bungee site, the view of the iconic Transporter Bridge will give you a first glimpse of what's to come. You'll be checked in, weighed and required to complete some paperwork. There's then a quick brief explaining what you'll need to do and you'll have a chance to ask any final questions. Finally, you also get the opportunity to book a DVD and photos of your jump, as well as buy any souvenir merchandise you fancy sporting afterwards.
With the help of an experienced crew member you'll quickly be kitted up with some sturdy ankle and waist harnesses, ready to start climbing the 210 steps to the top of the bridge. Making the long slow walk to the middle of the bridge you'll then meet your experienced jump master, who will give you the final once over.
The Bungee Jump
With the bungee cord securely connected to your harness you'll have brief period to take in the magnificent view and to compose yourself before the inevitable... 3-2-1 Bungee! A confident leap forwards later, you'll be plummeting towards the River Tees in a fraction of a second. High on adrenaline, a waiting boat will pluck you from the air and whisk you to dry land. You've done it!
