Africa Now supports farmers and small scale producers to increase their household income and work their way out of poverty. We do this by supporting farmers to diversify their crops, increase the value of their crops and gain access to a reliable market that will pay a fair price. Africa Now also links individuals to local micro finance institutions (Village Banks) where they can access affordable loans to invest in businesses and save for the future.
Our Ethical Business Services (EBS) team conducts ethical audits, small holder needs assessments and training for farms and factories supplying to US and UK retailers. EBS is leading a market change to international trade.
The impact of these activities is long lasting and sustainable, building a more secure future for families and generations to come.
Africa Now was recognised for it's achievements in 2007 when it was awarded the Charity Award for International Aid & Development.
