LauraLynn is Ireland’s only hospice for children with life-limiting conditions and residential care for children and young adults with disabilities.

For a child living with a life-limiting condition, and their family caring for them, every day is full of challenges – physical, practical and emotional. If you can imagine, normalcy goes out the window – Mum and Dad become Nurse and Doctor and siblings become carers. Life becomes a series of events that revolve around the medical routine of the child, and so family life gets subsumed within that.

This is where LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice comes in.  Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for the families in our care. To do this we provide planned short breaks stays in and out of home, transitional care between hospital and home, unplanned crisis care and end-of-life care.  Our children’s palliative care is delivered through our highly experienced and specially trained care staff, both in our hospice and in the child’s own home environment.   A key part of our service is a calendar of fun-filled family activities, memory making, camps and events, aimed at giving families precious and quality time together.

Our full care package is completely free for any family using LauraLynn. To continue doing this we need to raise a minimum of €4.2m a year.

Still don’t know what charity to support?

If you’re still unsure of which charity to choose to support, that’s not a problem! We’d recommend getting in touch with each charity that you’d like to support. They’ll be able to discuss how they’ll be able to support you on your journey, and what your money will be going towards.
