Merry May Everyone
It's now just 3 weeks until our first trip departs, and we are so excited to begin the countdown to our Summer season. We can't wait for our Bath Machu Picchu team to head out to Cusco on the 6th May to meet Leo (left) and start their trek.
You can track the group, or find out how to track your own groups' progress by checking out our blog here to get your hashtag and instructions!
For all of our fabulous marathon runners, our Marathon Training Day is almost here. Please do make sure you've clicked attending on the Facebook event and RSVP'd. We have over 100 runners invited, and would love for you to bring as many of your team along as possible to make it a cracking event.
We've now got two amazing speakers lined up, as well as some cracking freebies to give away - it's an event you won't want to miss and we can't wait to see you guys there to launch our Autumn running season.
A few updates from me and the team. As you may know, we were lucky enough to head out to Ireland last week to take on Carrantouhill - a mountain that most of us found harder than Kili (mostly because it hailed the whole way up!). We've recently had a bit of a re-structure of roles. I'm now managing the team and all of our key partnerships and Molly's taking over on all things comms - so from now on she'll be writing this newsletter (so you can expect much better grammar moving forward!). Sam & Nay are still in their current roles, and we're in the process of recruiting another team member. So if you, or anyone you know would be interested in joining our fab team, please send them to our Careers page.
A quick note on GDPR, you would have seen emails from companies asking you to re-subscribe, this won't be an issue for our current participants but please be assured we are tightening up our processes to ensure your data will always be safe with us!
Last but not least! Our Challenge Leader of the month..
May's Challenge Leader of the month is Harriet Davies; UEA Morocco leader and all round mega-star.
"As UEA approached their fundraising deadline Harriet was posting lots of lovely messages of encouragement in the team's Facebook group. She is a real mother hen to her group, reminding them about fundraising opportunities, and also not to forget to book their appointments in at the travel nurse! Harriet has also stepped up to look after UEA's Three Peaks team too, posting similar lovely messages to these participants too. On top of being a marvellous challenge leader, she has just been elected as the new RAG President at UEA! Congratulations Harriet, and keep up all the hard work!"
