March Newsletter

Pre-departure season is upon us! Not only does this mean we’ll be travelling around to you guys to present the super informative pre-departure briefing to you teams, but we’re also looking to confirm next year’s challenges (exiting!). This newsletter will be running through what to expect over the next month, including  how you can get in there early to secure your favourite challenges!

Getting Started

We’re on the hunt for new challenge leaders! If you are, or know anyone within your teams who’d be interested in taking up the leadership role, get in touch with us! We’ll be confirming next year’s challenges within the next couple of months so the earlier the better. As usual, you’ll benefit from discounted travel as well as bespoke training and recruitment support from the Choose a Challenge team. When you’re ready to confirm your 2020 challenges, you an do so here.

Challenge Leader of the Month

Scott has been an absolute star so far this year. Reaching 22 sign-ups on top of using the recruitment process towards his degree, Scott is a prime example of a brilliant leader.

We are now well into pre-departure season! If you haven’t been contacted by one of the team about your pre-departure briefing, then please get in touch with one of the team and we’ll help you get it organised. As part of the briefings, overseas trek leaders should be running our kit-packing workshop either alongside or separate to the briefings. For more on workshops, check out the blog here.

Campus Pitching

Related to the above, if we’ve planned to come and visit your campus for our pre-departure briefing, we’d love to have a chat about how your year has been with us so far, and what you think could improve going forward! We have all sorts of ideas about what challenges could have loads of potential moving forward so we’d love to share them with you.

New Staff!

We have a new staff member in the office! Lydia has just started her new role as Sales and Business Development Coordinator. She’ll be getting introduced to all you lovely leaders in due time, and even seeing some of you during pithing!

Staff Training

The team welcomed Tranquilico to the office last week to take part in some crisis management training. The training was super insightful and got us buzzing for departure season - bring it on!

Thanks for reading! If you’ve any trouble hit us up at and we’re more than happy to help!
