One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the hidden city of the Inca is an incredible, unforgettable place.

The legendary Inca city of Machu Picchu is nestled up in the Peruvian Andes, hidden away and surrounded by mountains on all sides.

It was abandoned by the Inca during the Spanish conquest and was not discovered by the West until 1911. Our 6-day trek will see you cross the Andes in search of the Machu Picchu, culminating with a full day exploring the city with an optional guided tour.

Leave the bustling colonial town of Cusco behind as you go in search of Machu Picchu.

The trip follows the beautiful Salkantay route which winds its way across breathtaking mountain passes, between soaring sacred peaks, and on through humid jungle trails.

You'll also spend a morning at the emerald waters of Humantay glacier lake, learning about the Quechua traditions of the area.

Extend your stay in Peru:

When you book onto our Machu Picchu trek, you can opt to add our incredible Huacachina extension trip to your challenge.

This option offers you the chance to relax and enjoy the stunning sand dunes in this paradise oasis. Optional activities include dune-buggying, sand-boarding and wine tasting.
