Our European Marathons are a great way to not only support some very worthwhile causes, but to also see more of the world and tick the ultimate challenge off your bucket list.
Do you fancy seeing the sites of Budapest this coming October? Or maybe partying through the night through the streets of Bilbao at one of the world’s most famous Night Marathons?
How about doing all of this, whilst supporting a team to raise money to support one of our fantastic partner charities?
So how can you get involved? Read on below to find out more about the role, and apply.
WHAT DOES A CHALLENGE LEADER DO?
As a challenge leader for a european marathon, you’ll be central to the success of the challenge. With our help, you’ll make a recruitment plan specific to your campus and we’ll provide you with all the materials to help you recruit a team of around 5-10 fellow students. Once your team are on board, you will work alongside the Student Fundraising Officers at your chosen charity to provide one-to-one and group support to help get everyone to their fundraising targets. Our team will then help you, and your team, to start your marathon training and ultimately get you all across that finish line with a smile on your face.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
As a challenge leader, you will not only be heading on the trip of a lifetime, but gaining all-important leadership experience. We will support you to make the most of your role, and gain those all-important transferable skills that’ll make your CV stand out from the crowd. How many students can put on their CV that they’ve led a team of their peers across a marathon finish line? Plus, who knows, we might end up taking you on ourselves…
MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE
The challenge isn’t just about making it to the finish line – it’s about raising crucial funds for some incredible charities. You will be responsible for helping your team meet their fundraising targets. Not to be taken lightly, we want people who really care about making a difference to take this on. There’s no better feeling than knowing what that money can do, and the fact you raised it. Why not check out some of the work our amazing charity partners do here.
