We've sent students from Southampton to all corners of the world to conquer marathons and trekking challenges alike. We're delighted to offer three challenges to students at Southampton this year - take a look:
everest base camp
5th September 2018
This is a challenging but rewarding trek, climbing to heights of 5,545m above sea-level to watch the sunrise over the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest.

4th September 2018
An incredible 6-day trek of Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, at 5,895m above sea-level. You’ll also have the chance to go on safari and to glorious Zanzibar.

The marathon route will take you past some of Budapest's main attractions, finishing close to the famous Szechenyi Baths should you fancy a well-deserved relax after the race.

YOUR CHALLENGE LEADERs
A true challenges connoisseur Anna has run seven half marathons, and the Prague Marathon, conquered Kilimanjaro and completed the Three Peaks Challenge! Alongside Maddie she'll be leading our Everest Base Camp expedition this summer.
Maddie has longstanding experience with overseas challenges, having led trips to Slovenia, Uganda and Peru in the past. She has also led multiple Ten Tors teams so is an experienced hiker! She'll be leading our Everest Base Camp expedition with Anna.
An accomplished runner, Bence has three half marathons and the New York Marathon under his belt. A self-described 'sports maniac', he is the perfect candidate to lead the Budapest Marathon in 2018!
