Budapest, the 'Pearl of the Danube’, is a vibrant & beautiful city known for its history, fascinating culture and exciting nightlife.

 

 

 The Budapest Marathon covers both the old cities of Buda and Pest, as the route explores both sides of the Danube River.

You will start and finish alongside the Danube, and take in Andrassy Avenue, Buda Castle, Parliament Building, Margaret Island and the 150-year-old Chain Bridge along the route.

Each year, around 27,000 runners from all over the world compete in the event.

This is a mainly flat course, ideal for first-time runners, or an opportunity to achieve a new PB if you’re a seasoned pro. After crossing the finish line, you can head to the Szechenyi Baths, the world-famous geothermal baths of Budapest.
