Thank you for your hard work to set up a new society. Our aim if through your valued efforts, we will be able to work closely with your Student Union/Guild, making it easier to promote and fundraise on your campus.

Not only that, having a society may mean running multiple challenges in one year, raising even more money for chairty! All thanks to you and your friends.

Case Study:

Students of Glasgow have hosted a single challenge for three years, through one Challenge Leader. In 2023, they launched a society called ‘UofG Challenge for Change’, with the sole purpose to host challenges every year, raising as much money as they can and further increasing the opportunity for students of all backgrounds on campus. Instead of recruiting 20+ students each year, they now recruit 80+ students and host an average of three events each year for three different charities.

So many lives have been changed through the hard work of originally one student, now a handful of committee members and Challenge Leaders each year!

Remember, you don’t need to be on a 2nd or 3rd challenge to be on a committee; your past and current experience and advice will be highly valued for the next cohort of challengers. Delegation is key for your time management! We will train the Challenge Leaders up to run their own challenge under your society.
